Refund Policy
Nothing is charged during the pilot, so today there is nothing to refund. This page sets out what will apply once paid plans open, so there are no surprises.
Last updated 11 October 2026 · In effect from 9 October 2026 · Digidan (Pty) Ltd, trading as DeploySeal
1. During the pilot
Organisations in the private pilot use DeploySeal at no charge for the agreed period. We do not take a card and nothing converts to a paid plan automatically, so no refund situation can arise. If we ever propose paid terms to you, they will need your explicit agreement first.
2. When paid plans open
Subscriptions will be sold by our payment partner, acting as merchant of record. That means the partner takes the payment, issues the invoice, charges any applicable tax and pays refunds. You can ask us or the partner; we will handle it either way, and a refund approved by us is paid by the partner to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days.
3. The first payment on a plan
If you start a paid plan and decide within 14 days that it is not for you, tell us and we will refund the first payment in full, no questions asked. This applies once per organisation, to the first payment on each new plan, not to upgrades of an existing plan.
4. Renewals and cancellation
- You can cancel at any time from your organisation’s billing page. The plan continues until the end of the period already paid for and then stops. We do not refund the unused part of a monthly period.
- A yearly renewal is refunded in full if you ask within 14 days of the charge and the organisation has not sealed a record in the new year. After that, a yearly plan can be cancelled with the remainder refunded pro rata, less one month, at our discretion.
- Downgrading takes effect at the next renewal; we do not refund the difference mid-period.
- We send a reminder before a yearly renewal is charged. We do not send one for monthly renewals.
5. When something is our fault
If the service was unavailable or materially broken for a significant part of a billing period, or we withdrew a capability you depended on without the notice our terms promise, we will credit the next invoice or refund that part of the period. Tell us what happened at desk@deployseal.com; our status page keeps the history.
6. What is not refunded
- Unused time on a monthly period after you cancel.
- Charges for a period in which the organisation sealed records or filed issues, beyond the first-payment window in section 3, unless section 5 applies.
- Fees where the account was suspended for breaking the acceptable-use rules in the terms.
- Bank or card fees charged by your own provider, including foreign-exchange fees on a US dollar charge.
7. Chargebacks
Please ask us before disputing a charge with your bank. A chargeback costs more than a refund and takes longer; if you write to us we will usually refund the same day where this policy allows. An organisation with an unresolved chargeback is set to read-only until it is settled.
8. Your statutory rights
Nothing here reduces rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 in South Africa or under consumer law where you live. In particular, section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act gives a consumer seven days from concluding an electronic transaction to cancel it without reason or penalty; the 14-day refund in section 3 includes that right. This policy is designed to be more generous than those rights, not to replace them.
9. How to ask
Email desk@deployseal.com from an owner’s address on the organisation, with the organisation name and the invoice or charge date. We answer within two business days.
